The ticking clock is not very relaxing!

Response from Victoria's Cosmetic Medical Clinic

Thank you for your feedback and nice rating Lucy! We do try to only have clocks that don't make a ticking noise, its hard that most of the time it cant be told until they are purchased and have batteries in them unfortunately. At your next appointment, if you happen to be in a room with a clock that ticks, of course please feel free to request it to be removed. Our sincere apologies, we understand it could have been annoying. - Cassandra

My daughter and I thought your clinic/salon was of extremely high quality and we both felt that your staff were very well groomed and extremely professional. The premises looked spotless and world class and you should be congratulated on that. I have told my friends and family of the high standard of your clinic and have told them that if we could afford to, we would visit your business as often as we could. I was given a $100 voucher and quoted $225 extra, but then my daughter was charged $235 with the voucher?? Having just been to Koh Samui and stayed at a spa resort where we had every treatment imaginable with the top products for virtually very little money, I felt that your quality was high and very professional but your prices were very, very expensive for the amount of product that you used and the amount of time your professional staff worked on us.(considering also the local prices on the north west coast). If I wanted to do a cosmetic treatment I would feel comfortable coming back to you, but, would have to compare with other businesses for level of value, before I booked again with you. I feel your prices are way to high for the Tasmanian market. Would it not be better to be a bit less in price and then be booked out months in advance, therefore guaranteeing the longevity and economic success of the business that you have so obviously put your heart and soul into? It was somewhat disturbing for me to discover that when I rang and made the appointments that the opening times on the brochure that was sent along with the voucher had lessened and changed and today I got an email stating that the loyalty program was being discontinued. That would be very disappointing for loyal clients who had a number of points to cash in on future treatments and their loyalty to your business has been betrayed. I have to say that you do not offer your clients any confidence in frequenting your business in the future...why would they??? Please just think about it for a minute. You have excellent staff and your premises are world class. You have worked hard but your business is obviously in decline if your opening hours are lessening, you are closed on the weekends (when working women like me who work more than 50 hours a week are able to do the things they cant through the week, and you are cancelling your loyalty program. What you have created is wonderful and really needed here. Please rethink your strategy. I would love to see that you are still in business and earning obscene profits in a year from now. Response from Victoria's Cosmetic Medical Clinic

Dear Bronwyn, In response to your feedback on My Local salon.com Firstly I wish to thank you on the very nice comments in regards to our clinic being of very high quality and very well groomed and extremely professional staff. I am also so very pleased that you have told your friends about the above as well. You seem to be a little dissatisfied in regards to our pricing and have compared us to the treatments that you had received in Koh Samui. I would like to point out that you had a specialised A.S.A.P. facial which is charged at the recommended price of $135.00 plus a pedicure at the cost of $55.00. The total cost of this treatment being $190.00. You were here for a total of one hour and forty five minutes. For this facial the procedure and amount of product is strictly in align with what the A.S.A.P. skin care company have recommended. We have very strict policies to abide by when using these products. Your pedicure was a standard pedicure and very comparable in price with all salons and clinics in Australia. In relation to your daughter, she had an A.S.A.P. Hydration Facial at a cost of $90.00 followed by a standard pedicure costing $55.00. Your daughter was here for a total of one hour and forty five minutes. The same standard of policy and procedures apply to her facial and pedicure as above. I would also like to point out that the wages in Koh Samui are very much lower than here in Australia and as you stated I have very professional and well groomed staff and as being a professional woman yourself must understand that to keep good staff is not cheap by any means. The total costs of your treatments were $335.00 and you were both here for a total of three and a half hours. Cost of wages product and overheads need to be taken into consideration here and at the end of the day there does need to be some profit to make the clinic viable. I have developed Victoria's Clinic from the very beginning and am not about to make any decisions lightly. The decision to cease reward points has been a management decision and not made because as you stated that my “business is obviously in decline”. In fact it is to the contrary. You also stated that our “opening hours are lessening”. We are open most weekdays until 8pm to allow for people like yourself to come in after hours. Our Saturday trading will recommence in October for the lead up to Christmas. I feel very strongly that all my staff need to have quality family time and the uninterrupted weekend is the best time for this. I also make sure that none of my staff work on the Saturday of a long weekend. In regards to your statement about our clients not having any incentive to visit us in the future. I believe that we offer a service of very high standard and have done so for the past 11 years. We have loyal clients whom have been coming to us all this time. I do not think they will stop doing so just because they do not receive loyalty points. Bronwyn my promise to you is that I will still be here in not one year from now but ten years from now. I have no intention of going anywhere; I am a very smart business woman. I look forward to welcoming you in the future at Victoria's Cosmetic Medical Clinic. Kind Regards Anne Talbot Clinic Owner/Manager Victoria's Cosmetic Medical Clinic
