I have been to C’Ba before however this appointment left me feeling under-whelmed. My stylist asked me what I services I wanted and after a 45 second conversation he was mixing colour. I hadn’t received a price breakdown and wasn’t filled with confidence about what my hair would look like at the end of the session. He was quite rough throughout the colouring process and didn’t engage in any conversation throughout the 3.5 hour session. I’m not mad about the results - they are quite subtle (I probably expected a little more change and lightness in the foils) however when I got to the register and was change $350 I was very quickly disappointed. For that amount of money I would expect a lot more out of my hair service. I still really like C’ba, it is a great environment and love the team but this experience has left me doubting whether I would go back again when it comes to value for money and quality of service.

The salon is beautiful and the ladies are very lovely, I just wish I had left the salon happier and with my hair coloured like I had booked. I am blonde and I had booked in for an overall colour and a cut. I had paid the $100 deposit and had booked weeks in advance and was really excited. When I arrived the ladies were lovely, but unfortunately I was told that what I wanted was going to cost $430ish dollars instead of the $230ish dollars I had booked online. I was given three options 1. Cut & gloss $127 on top of $100 deposit 2. A baylage which was gonna cost $200 on top of the $100 deposit or 3. The original colour I wanted $300ish on top of the $100 deposit. I felt a little uneasy and being a student I budget and so felt a little corned and ended up picking the cheapest option possible because I was scared I was going to loose the deposit and at the time I didn’t realise I could have just said give me the hair cut and I’ll decide later on the colour but I felt pressured to pick one of the options. So I went with the gloss and cut and yes the gloss is nice and did help with my regrowth a little, but I ended up going home really upset mainly because I had also travelled from the north side and spent 1.5 hour in traffic on the way home. I guess it felt like a waste of time and money and I ended up not getting what I wanted and now still need to book somewhere to get a colour. I think when you have a new client, the booking system should include an option for a free 5-10min consultation prior to the appointment, just to have a chat about your goals and get a real idea of how much money is involved. The booking system could include the option to upload a pic of your hair and also maybe a goal photo of what you are after. I am not a hairdresser and so I don’t know what it takes to make hair look the way it is, so I didn’t realise I had booked the wrong thing. I think installing something like this will help others not leave the salon feeling disappointed. I think the salon is lovely and the girls are lovely and obviously very talented, I just left really upset and now having to invest more money into getting my hair coloured somewhere else. I just paid $230 for a cut and some gloss when I could have used that money to get real colour. Again I am a uni student so budget for things like this. So now I have to wait to get my hair done again.

Fantastic set up and design internally but the vibe was a little flat. Maybe it was because it’s a weekend? I’m not sure. The stylist I had was lovely but wasn’t interested in conversation really. The apprentice she had to help my toner and blow dry was actually quite rough so that wasn’t particularly enjoyable either. I would come back as you’re local, use Redken and the end result was great, it was just the service that felt a little flat.

Great looking salon & nice staff. Reasoning for low ratings regarding quality and value for money is due to a very long wait that went well over my booked appointment time & and during my appointment the service felt very interrupted. I felt a bit cheated paying so much for my service when I waited an extra 50mins to get started past my original appointment time & during my service it was visible my stylists attention was frequently more focused on her other client sitting in the chair next to me who seemed to be having an issue with her service. It would have been nice if the salon had acknowledged my long wait time & interrupted service to offer some type of resolution, e.g discounted service price, product samples, complimentary hair wash/blow dry.

Lovely Team and friendly experience. The part I look forward to the most is the head massage, the head massage lasted approx 2 minutes, I was so disappointed. I did leave with my hair half curled and quite a lot of hair dye on my forehead, ears and some on my neck. Overall I liked the staff, everyone is friendly however I did leave feeling like I wasted my money.
