The team at Unico made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door. Jess was a delight, taking time to ask what I was looking for, how I usually wear my hair and communicating with me about what she did throughout to check that I was happy. As someone with curly, textured hair, it isn't always easy to find a good cut but Jess seemed to understand how to work with my hair from the get-go-she's magical! I felt great during the whole experience and even better when I saw the result at the end!

I have been attending Unico Hair for many years. Sofia and all the staff there are always so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I always walk out 110% happy with my cut, colour and blow wave and feeling like I have had a great experience. They're excellent at what they do, and their service and professionalism is amazing. I have moved to the other side of town now, but still make the trip to Brunswick Street to get my hair done, because nothing else compares to Unico :).

Lovely service every time! No request is too difficult for the Unico team, I’ve gone from light natural brown to white blonde to dark brown within two years of visits and the results have been amazing every time. The team work so well together to give you the best colour and cut. Very happy!

Coming out of lockdown, bookings more important than ever. My booking was pushed back by over an hour, they did their best to fit me is as quickly as possible which I appreciate but unfortunately I was still late for my next appointment. I was charged the full rate for a student (she was wearing her student uniform) to do a poor blow wave. I asked not to use the straightener but this was unavoidable in the end because she could not get a good curl in my hair with the blow dryer alone (I have bouncy hair that holds curl well, I think she was just inexperienced). In the end went over the front part about 15 times and I think burnt my hair. I think charging the full amount for a student was probably a bit unfair.

Chieno cut my hair and she was honestly so skilled and talented. I am very fussy about how my hair is cut and she listened to how I liked it cut and replicated the cut perfectly. Would highly recommend her to anyone requiring a short hair cut.

Sofia is a very professional and passionate stylist who does an amazing job with my hair. All the other staff members are friendly and welcoming. The staff are clearly proud of the business and Sofia and the team work extremely hard which shows. They clearly have many regular and long term clients which speaks for itself. I have had my hair styled 3 times at this salon and I hope to return here as a regular for a long time
