Unico Hair salon is the brainchild of  Sofia Basile. Established nearly 30 years ago in the bustling Degraves Street in Melbourne. We specialise in unique style haircuts for men and woman, and are specialized colour experts. Melbourne made vegan products and we offer refilling.

For your convenience our Fitzroy Salon is open Weekends. Surcharge applies on weekend bookings.

Great service and advice. Both Sofia and Duvessa went above and beyond to colour cut and style my hair on a late appointment on a Sunday! Thank you so much. I have gotten so many compliments on how good my hair looks.

An amazing team. Duvessa is a brilliant colourist - I am always thrilled with what she creates for me. Tarsha cuts my hair beautifully every time. She knows exactly how to shape my hair in a way that is easy to look after and frames my face beautifully. Sophia is a wonderful boss and she runs her salon in a way that makes the whole place a delight to walk into. I will always come back knowing I am valued, listened to and will get the treatment and outcome I am looking for!

It has been hard to find someone who can cut my son's hair really well...that it isn't too short or left too long, that it suits his face, etc. He is 15 and sensitive about it, but the cuts he has gotten at Unico have been so good. He has thick and curly/wavy hair like me, so they know about all hair types. Also cheaper than most, plus, it's next door to the BEST French restaurant in the inner north, so get a style/cut and have some amazing food afterwards. Highly recommend!
