I didn’t like my hair cut - the hair dressers only question was “how much do you want off” then got started. I would’ve like more discussion about how it was being cut. I had to interrupt her chatting to try and discuss the haircut and things I could see she was doing that I didn’t like - that’s a hard conversation for everyone to be having half way through and I’d much prefer the time and effort be put in before starting to ensure clients needs n wants are understood. Being neurodivergent I find hair cuts extremely difficult as any change is a big sensory adjustment for me, and I did not feel cared for or that I received the attention/understanding that was needed to make this a good experience unfortunately. A lot more question to ensure clear understanding, and clarifying questions and check ins during the cut would’ve been helpful for me. Apart from getting a cut I hate, and feeling uncomfortable throughout the experience, everything else was wonderful and I love being able to get a dry cut without the sensory overload of a wash as well.

my eyebrows are pretty sore and pretty scratched. Not sure if this is normal. I really like my eyebrows. Just not happy about the scratching.

Today I didn’t receive the usual quality service. Nikki was distracted and too talkative about herself. She asked Aimee to wash my colour out and then took over before she had finished. Not checking where she was up to and not listening when I said that was the quickest shampoo I had ever had. On arriving home and properly looking at my hair I found she had not completely washed out all of the dye. The underneath hair at my nape was still damp and felt like it needed more rinsing.

I asked my hairdresser to cut my hair at shoulder length, she cut it just below ear lobes!
