I'm glad I was given my pedicure as a gift and I didn't have to pay. $69 for a pedicure and you don't even get a foot massage or top coat on your nails. I would much rather pay $35 at one of the other nail salons and get a great foot and half leg massage along with a better finish on the nail polish.

Usually I speak highly of my services I experience at pure indulgence. I had my first Brazilian wax last Friday. Expecting it to be painful, I did not expect the level of pain due to the wax being used. The technician tried to pull the wax when the wax had not set properly. Not only that, many times over the wax once set kept breaking. I felt like for the majority of the waxing, it was pulled off in sections because of this. It was hugely painful. I was expecting the wax to be pulled off in one motion. Sometimes the wax was pulled up to four times In order to peel it off completely. The technician apologised for this many times over. I have a terrible rash due to broken skin. It is still there over a week later. I will never be returning for a Brazilian at this beauty salon due to the experience I had.

Therapist had left and we were not told Replacement therapist was brusque and did not do nearly as good a job as we are used to

The consultant seemed generally unenthusiastic about the massage she was giving. I asked for a firm massage which started off well. She used good pressure on my back but dug her fingers (and nails at times) hard into my skin as she ran them down adjacent to my spine. I asked her to be softer. She also squeezed the small bones at the top of my shoulders to the sides of my neck. I winced and said ‘ouch’ but she did the same on the other side. The oil dried up about half way through and she didn’t replace it. The massage felt strange after that, dry and just a bit meh. At the end she asked me how I felt and I said I felt ok but that the face rest had been uncomfortable. She said ‘i’m glad you enjoyed your treatment, I’ll meet you out the front’. The parts of the massage outside of these issues, were very nice. Not what I expect though when i’m paying $75 for 30 mins.
