I had been going to this salon for about 7 or 8 years, i love my hairdresser but will not go back on principle due to an incident a few weeks back. I had made an appointment 7 months in advance as i had a good friend's wedding to go to and wanted my hair done on that day. Sadly, the salon called the day before my appointment to cancel, and whilst i totally understand and sympathetic to the situation surrounding the cancellation, i was less than impressed with the salon's unsympathetic handling of my situation. When I explained I had to go to a wedding the receptionist made no attempt to try and accomodate me, explaining that the other hairdressers were fully booked. I eventually asked if she could at least put me on a waitng list for that day, but of course there were no cancellations that day - if i didn't have a wedding to go to i would have been happy to reschedule to another day, but in this case i really needed to get something done! I ended up feeling really let down.

Really nice salon with some great staff. Bug I found that they didn't entirely listen to what I asked for

The ambience of the salon is loud, bright and can be jarring to the nerves therefore some peaceful spaces to relax whilst receiving treatment may be beneficial to the client.

Great but would prefer not to get stuck in the mens corner. Feels a bit like we're second class citizens

The booking got changed quite a few times, but it was worth it in the end as the stylist did a fantastic haircut. The salon is busy, has a high turnover of customers. There is a lot of time pressure on the stylist to get the job done in the allotted time, and she is supervising multiple more junior stylists and being asked questions the whole way through my appointment. Her time management and multitasking skills are amazing. Often though I was left waiting for her to come back as she was pulled in so many directions and perhaps it could have taken less time if she was able to just concentrate on fewer clients and focus her energy to get it done?

My hairdresser did an amazing job, but did leave me unattended a couple of times, getting someone else to blow dry my hair etc. Which was fine except that the hairdresser was not back promptly to move on to the next stage. This is only a tiny thing though. Generally speaking I always enjoy my experience at off London.
