Facial was amazing as always - Finn is so knowledgeable and skilled. However I was underwhelmed with my body scrub and massage - the scrub was very quick and not much actual scrubbing involved, my skin didn't feel much different afterwards. The massage was supposed to be 60 minutes but was barely 45, and only my feet/legs and back were massaged. The heating was also broken in the room so it was quite cold. I probably would only continue to get facials here, and not other services.

I booked myself in for a express pedicure and on the website the description is “ an essential treatment for tired feet. Included a soothing foot bath, heel lofah, nail care and polish application” All I was given was nail care and a polish. This needs to told you your clients as this was not what I thought I was booked in for. I would have changed my appointment if I had of known I was only getting my toe nails painted. Lana was beautiful with her work and the environment was wonderful but I was disappointed as I thought I was booked for a certain thing and didn’t get half of what the description said.

Although I appreciate my therapist was in training, I was expecting to feel more relaxing during my treatment. The bright lights and extended LED wasn’t preferable, but I loved the hand/foot massage she gave while the last LED was on. That was relaxing. I would definitely go back for the price I paid, but probably not for full price. She used really nice products and my skin feels hydrated.

I enjoyed my treatment but there were a couple of things I noticed; there was a clock ticking in the treatment room the whole time, it was louder than the spa music being played and was a bit off putting. There was also no mood lighting, just a bright light that made it impossible to relax. I also wasn’t asked about my skin concerns or medical issues after filling them out on the consult form, what’s the point in doing the form if it’s not addressed? After treatment I wasn’t offered any product recommendations or rebooking which I wanted to do because I really enjoyed the little massage that was apart of my back detox and wanted to book for a 60 minute massage but since it wasn’t offered I didn’t bother. Not trying to be rude because I really enjoyed my spa therapists techniques and the products were amazing. I’m from Queensland and have been going to Ella for years and was expecting the same atmosphere and Hobart didn’t deliver.

The young girl doing my lashes, whilst trying very hard to do the right thing, scrubbed the dye off without enough water, allowing the dye into my eyes, by opening the gap between the upper and lower lids, instead of bathing gently with lots of water. She also didn’t hold the dish in the correct spot so I had drips all down my ear/ hair. Also, she was very irritating with her use of language to keep me informed of which side she was “ coming in” from etc. so repetitive and unnecessary. I realise she’s obviously been trained to let the customer know what she’s doing, but this was over the top. I have to add that I seldom complain, but I do feel justified as I thought it s negative for your business. Warm regards

Massage didn't focus on the problem areas and found the fake nails were very stratchy and uncomfortable particularly on my scalp and pulled at my hair. Lash tint was great.
