I was a bit annoyed because I was asked to come in at 4.15pm for my 4.30 pm appointment. I thought fair enough they probably want to do a skin assessment. I arrived at 4.10 pm and then waited until 4.30 pm to be taken straight in for my treatment. The facial and massage were lovely. I purchased some products and returned to my car. I checked my face in the mirror and saw a red mark on my chin. It was red and I can only assume happened during the microdermabrasion. It would have been nice if the beautician had advised me there was a little mark left on my chin from the treatment. I was pretty annoyed when I saw it in the mirror. It's now Friday and I had to cover it up with make up before going to work. I spent $442 but probably won't be returning for another treatment. Regards, Catherine Scott

We completely understand your frustration about the wait time and the redness you noticed after your treatment. Redness following microdermabrasion is a normal and temporary side effect, usually caused by increased circulation to the skin’s surface. It generally fades within a few hours to a couple of days. To help your skin heal, we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours, keeping well hydrated, and protecting your skin from sun exposure by using sunscreen and seeking shade, as your skin will be more sensitive to the sun. That said, we understand how unsettling it can be to notice redness without prior mention, and we’ll be reminding our team to communicate more clearly about expected post-treatment effects in the future. My recent Turn Back Time facial was just what my skin needed. When I looked in the mirror immediately afterwards, I could literally see a positive difference in my facial skin. It really looked glowing, fresh and healthy - visibly even toned (if that's the correct wording!). I felt pampered having thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Hi, I had quite a bad reaction to my facial and my skin is still very red, sensitive and inflamed several days later. I had advised the beautician that I had very sensitive skin and although she was professional & hard working, I don’t think she really understood/took seriously my concerns. It’s possible that the Ella Baché products don’t agree with my skin or that was the wrong type of facial for me.

I experienced my first hot stone massage a couple of days ago and can only describe it as totally awesome and relaxing. The massage was exactly what I needed as my shoulder and back muscles were incredibly tight although I was unaware of the fact beforehand. After the massage was finished it was all I could do to force myself to stay awake and get dressed. My entire body felt the benefit of the massage and facial as I believe it helped with blood flow to/from my feet. Many thanks.
