Felt letdown, as a result of how they market this spa, by the actual facilities. Extremely small changing area which can not use comfortably if someone else is in there let alone a large group, general upkeep was quite disappointing for a “luxury” (?) destination dated areas need repair, dirty etc, towels not readily available poolside had to wait around dripping wet in reception, people’s drinks and food let poolside long after theyve left, explanation of Hammam for 2 treatment felt rushed and given a tiny bowl of clay which was told was for whole body??? Im sure we were told to leave it on until it peeled off but no such thing happened. She also said briefly showers will come on at end of treatment werent shown where they were etc- well 5 mins before session finished lay back eyes closed on steam room lounge bench, was absolutely startled by a shower blast in face from above. I have been really excited to try this place and recieved a voucher for my birthday.

Hamman Session included as part of a Luxury Escape package was very disappointing. It consisted of a steam room and 2 exfololiant creams you applied yourself. The heat coming out onto your legs was far too hot and could not be tolerated. The bench to sit on had cloudy water indicating it still had the previous occupants cream in it. There was no alarm bell. I think it wa a quite dangerous. We only lasted less than 10 minutes rather than 30 minutes.

Had the 30 minute jet spa. It was uneventful. It felt like a soak in the bathtub that I could've done in the room. They said they were going to set up the room with sparkling wine - I didn't receive that. There could've been at least essential oils or something to make it feel like a spa session. The light against the water was nice until I could see dead skin cells and blonde hair (not mine as I'm brunette) floating. It wasn't relaxing. There were minor points like offering us self service tea but no cups. The mannerisms didn't feel like a spa. It felt like "here's water, if you want it it's there." It didn't have the smell of a spa either. Nothing to start the journey into relaxation.

We filled out a card of the type of massage we would prefer with regards to pressure applied and parts of the body to be massaged, when we entered the room the ladies had no idea of what we had requested and we had to verbally repeat our preferences. This was a waste of time as they did not take on board our requests, I had asked to have my scalp massages and no feet, I got the opposite. I was also cold throughout the experience. My masseuse spoke to me throughout when I had requested I prefer not to chat.

Upon attempting to book a spa treatment at L & M Spa, I could not get anyone to answer their phone for the best part of two weeks, to the point I tried to contact the hotel to book our accommodation and spa only to have the same issue, I than had to email them to request a call back after their phones continuously rang out during business hours for 2.5 weeks. On the day of arrival at the spa, the lovely lady on the desk greeting me was and very approachable and nice, however the facilities were quite underwhelming and the massage was a basic massage, so much so you learn to do a more appropriate relaxation massage in a 6 week night course at Swinburne. I dont feel I would recommend this spa based on the overall experience.

The massage was amazing however we did not get what we paid for the male receptionist was rude even when l showed him my voucher no effort was made to reimburse me for not having 2 facials that were paid for. Instead we received a spa soak that was dirty. We were supposed to receive a couples 60 minute massage followed by a facial with pool and a glass of wine. The massage was amazing and so professional we were just let down as we called numerous times to confirm appointment but made to feel as though we lied, about not receiving a text message to confirm appointment also we showed him the voucher at the end of our treatment because he said we got the treatment confused and offered the spa soak over 2x facials because they didn't have enough therapist.
