Staff we're lovely and friendly, but very expensive for what you got, and the room for massage was freezing and aircon fan going the whole time

For Christmas 2024 my husband purchased a voucher for L.M. Spa. When I visited the spa house last year it was such an amazing experience. So much so, that I requested a spa voucher for Christmas every year. Yesterday I used my 2025 Christmas voucher and my experience could not have been any more disappointing. From the moment the therapist walked down the stairs, I sensed that this was not going to be a good experience. During the treatment, I had to fight the urge to get up from the table because it was a waste of my time and money. The therapist appeared to be unwell. She was sniffling and breathing through her mouth. I was breathing in her breath which was really disconcerting. If she was unwell she should have worn a mask. She also yawned a number of times. I was getting cold and advised her. While she turned the heater on and provided another towel she did not ask me if I was comfortable. I was cold throughout the treatment. The treatment itself was terrible. The therapist just wasn't focused. It would have to be the worst massage I have ever received. At one point she was rubbing the back of my neck, and it was rubbing, not massaging and it felt like it went on forever. She did the same with my scalp, to the point where I asked her to stop. By the end of the treatment I felt like an oil slick. I was absolutely covered in oil. I had to wash my hair three times to remove the oil. I was so looking forward to this experience and I was terribly disappointed. I came home and advised my husband not to purchase a voucher from L.M spa again. He was so disappointed for me. I have also woken up with a sore throat this morning. Please discuss with your staff the importance of wearing a face mask if they are not feeling well. We are living in a world where wearing a mask is welcomed and appreciated if someone is unwell especially if they are in a customer facing role. I am on two weeks leave and will be bitterly disappointed if I become unwell. Finally, your amenities are starting to show their age. The toilet and facilities are not of a standard I would expect from a Lancemore property. I hope you take all of the above into consideration. It appears L.M. Spa had dropped its standards and level of service during the past 12 months and that is very disappointing. Nerina Williams

Went to bathroom and open my cupboard to retrieve my dressing gown and it wasn’t there. I then went back to reception and was told “it in your locker. Did you open it”. I said yes nothing there and then proceeded giving it to me. As I was getting changed a lady comes into the male toilets from the pool asking me if I can get her bags out of the locker when I was half naked. I told her to wait. I get ready and receptionist tell me to go down stairs and someone would get me. Waiting room was dirty, white stone doors were black (need a magic sponge) to clean it and I waited around 15 minutes. The lady that massage me was the best massage I have received.
