It starts inside. Sol Hair is a salon of the senses; a relaxing space offering a completely rejuvenating and energising experience that involves sight, sound, smell and touch from the moment you walk in the door. The space is private, earthy, ambient, welcoming and totally calm: think raw materials, hanging plants, lemongrass scents, happy vibes, and calming curated playlists. Here, the name of the game is relaxation, and of course, really great hair. This love of the environment extends outside too, with a strong focus on sustainability, recycling, minimal water usage, ethical practices and the use of organic products. Even from the salon basins, the Sol team are aiming to protect the environment in everything they do.


Sol Hair was created in 2018 by award-winning hairdresser Kristie Sibson, as a place of escape for both the body and the mind. After two years working in London for a leading salon, Kristie returned to Australia to continue her career as a hairdresser in Paddington. She has worked in some of Brisbane’s best salons, was selected as part of the Redken team for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week three years running, and has collected quite the client base and social media following along the way.

I decided spur of the moment to chop all of my long hair off into a bob - which as I say it out loud could have ended in complete disaster. Tash was incredible discussing how she was going to cut it and was extremely patient with me, as someone who actually didn't really know what she wanted. The end result was perfect, cut in a way that I can wear multiple ways and I feel completely new again. I've been going to Sol for years and they have always given me better than expected, so I shouldn't be surprised, but I am - every time.

Katelyn was amazing, I have absolutely no words of how phenomenal she was and made my hair look! I was treated so well and loved every moment of my time in the salon and will definitely be back! I was nervous to have such a change to my hair, but Katelyn went beyond my expectations and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to get their hair done!
