It starts inside. Sol Hair is a salon of the senses; a relaxing space offering a completely rejuvenating and energising experience that involves sight, sound, smell and touch from the moment you walk in the door. The space is private, earthy, ambient, welcoming and totally calm: think raw materials, hanging plants, lemongrass scents, happy vibes, and calming curated playlists. Here, the name of the game is relaxation, and of course, really great hair. This love of the environment extends outside too, with a strong focus on sustainability, recycling, minimal water usage, ethical practices and the use of organic products. Even from the salon basins, the Sol team are aiming to protect the environment in everything they do.
Sol Hair was created in 2018 by award-winning hairdresser Kristie Sibson, as a place of escape for both the body and the mind. After two years working in London for a leading salon, Kristie returned to Australia to continue her career as a hairdresser in Paddington. She has worked in some of Brisbane’s best salons, was selected as part of the Redken team for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week three years running, and has collected quite the client base and social media following along the way.

I came in today for a bob haircut. I was very warmly welcomed, with a smile, in a calm and cozy atmosphere. The hairdresser who took care of me (sorry, I don’t remember her name) understood exactly what I wanted. She was very gentle and delicate, which made it a very relaxing experience. I am delighted with the result. Thank you !!!!
