Having recently move to Hobart and knowing I would be paying Sydney prices, I didn't expect to be limited to tea/coffee on a Friday evening and nor did I expect the salon to decline my request for what I wanted done to my hair (chemical straightening) because of some lame excuse of a couple of experiences in the 90's and claiming they didn't have the chemicals in stock to do the work. While the staff were friendly and the cut was done well: for an overall experience, would I recommend this salon - no! Will I be going back - no! No second chances for a first impression. Now to unsubscribe....

Aside from the fact that I spent a lot of time waiting. The 2nd year apprentice did half of the work, not the person I booked in with. And throughout my appointment I was asked if I wanted things such as a treatment to help my color last, but at no point was I told, even after I said yes that this cost extra money. It was only when I was asked again by the apprentice if I wanted the treatment, when I asked her if it cost money and ahe said yes. Then it made me wonder if everything they had offered me cost me money?? The price I paid at the end I would not go back. Disappointed.

I think your prices are way too high and will prevent me returning in the future. The hairdresser was lovely and my thoughts may be different if I wasn’t paying nearly $100 an hour for the experience with the vast majority of the time spent sitting with product on my head or waiting.

They used to be great a few years ago and were the only place in Hobart I trusted to restyle my hair, but this time they did my hair for my wedding and it was not what I wanted as the girl did not listen to me then rushed off to the next client despite me paying more than my bridemaid who's hairdresser spent a lot more time on it - jut because mine was longer. It started to fall apart after an hour and my sister had to redo one whole side. She and her GHD could have done a better job in the first place. So disappointed. Only go there if you know that the specific person you book with is good.

This was my first visit for a colour. I did not ask the expected cost of the visit when I was making the appointment, and was not offered this information. The cost of my visit was approximately double what it has been at my regular salon. While I am happy with the result, and my treatment while there, it was not any better than my regular salon.

I moved from interstate a year ago, and am looking for a new hair salon. Sfumato didn’t feel quite the right one for me. The environment felt a little rushed and chaotic, and the consultation was very brief. Value for money didn’t feel quite right either.
