I had an awful experience at Sfumato. I agreed to have a couple of inches cut off but my hair was cut far shorter than I had agreed to - almost shoulder length (it was waist length). This is very upsetting since I have naturally curly hair. I emphasised that I only ever air dry my hair prior to the cut, but I will now have to blow-dry it daily for it to look presentable, damaging my hair. Not only is my hair far shorter than I wanted, but the haircut was awful and I had to have it fixed. It was lopsided, uneven and had a thick, unblended chunk of hair inches shorter on one side at the front. When I went back (less than 1 hour later), the receptionist was very rude, and she offered no reading material despite informing me I would have to wait at least 45 minutes. This cost $100.

Sabrina did not listen to what I said I wanted and she has cut my hair too short to what I said and now my hair does not go up the way I wanted it too. Everyone else in the salon was very nice but I am not able to wear my hair like this to school and there is no way I am able to fix how my hair is. I got recommended this place by family and had high hopes for the place as their hair always looks good. I liked the wash and the environment of the place but the look of my hair I am not happy with and the price I paid for the service was not good enough for what I got. Because it is too short I am unable to pin it back, put it in a ponytail for school and I am too embarrassed to leave it out. I most likely will not be back and I do apologise however if I do I will not book with Sabrina as she didn’t listen to me and when I did tell her to change it she did the same thing again which made it even shorter. She has made it look like I have curtain bangs instead of normal face framing as she has bought the front peices so close together.

Unfortunately my experience this time wasn’t great. I felt like my hair colour was not treated with enough care and consideration but rather rashly. I didn’t feel comfortable to speak up about how I felt about my hair at the end. Also my neck, ear and forehead had dark colour left out which wasn’t removed or tended to properly. The person I booked for did not color my hair but rather assigned someone else to color it. Although toning was part of the service, I didn’t see much of a different on my hair. I also felt like I was overcharged. $170 for a root touch up and “kind of toning” don’t think was with it at all. Christie used to color my hair and she always did an awesome job and never overcharged me and SHE coloured my hair HERSELF. I’ve kept myself anonymous because I don’t feel comfortable to go back to the salon and I don’t think contacting me will make much of a difference. Overall I felt like my experience was negligent and “make shift”

Arriving to find my appointment had been canceled & I couldn't have what I wanted/ planned in my prior consultation was both upsetting & stressful,especially considering I had booked in for a special occasion. I was about to cry when they told me they could put a few foils in the parts you can see, but didn't have time to do it all & I couldn't get it cut. Jazz was absolutely amazing & I very much appreciate her efforts do as much as she could in the time she had, but I did feel ripped off having to pay $193 for not what I wanted. Not a good first impression, I won't be back.
