I’ve been coming to Enlightened for a number of years. I’ve loved the whole experience of the salon, the staffs friendlines, their advice and quality of work. Though I have noticed the last few months I’ve had an appointment the professionalism of the staff dress code is getting worse and worse. Female staff aren’t wearing bras, I can see their nipples through their shirt. Midriffs aren’t covered. I literally had a bare belly over my shoulder while having my colour done. Some staff look like they’re heading to the gym for a pt session, while others looked they like literally hopped off the couch wearing their trackies and crop top and headed straight to work. Beautiful staff - but professional dress is definitely noticed and appreciated, I don’t want bare bellies and nipples in my face when getting my hair done.

I went in hoping to get my hair lightened but left with it darker than when I walked in. She did say my ends were too dark but it did feel a little like I was just too hard basket. I also left with a neck, forehead and ears covered in hair colour which I wouldn’t expect from a hair salon. The ends of my hair are so thick too the ends weren’t thinned out so it’s made my hair look very boxy.

Disappointed that the prices had gone up so much from my last visit. Being a senior citizen the price is getting a little expensive.

The experience seemed very rushed, and the basin experience was quite uncomfortable. No informing of what was happening, very painful massage and being hit in the head with the hose. My hairdresser told me the blonde I asked for was achievable, and put baby lights in. To be honest, my hair doesn't look much different to when I walked in and it seemed that the hairdresser was trying to cover herself by saying "your hair was very warm to begin with." For the price, I felt the experience wasn't the best. There was some whispering amongst the workers which seemed a little unprofessional, the environment felt very chaotic and the lack of communication between hairdresser and client was lacking.

I've been attending the salon for approx 1 year but always have bleach but the various hairdressers find it hard to provide a clean blonde, i have short hair. I'm always so disappointed even with bleach on scalp this was not achieved. It costs so much to have your hair done professionally but the desired outcome is not there....
