I first attended CBA Hair on a whim after seeing Emma's number-plates. Having no social media, I googled! The C'ba Hair journey (depicted through the website) really resonated with me. Emma's raw and honest approach to her business, clients and staff means that the salon goes past a trendy place to have your hair done. You feel like you join part of a community/family when you become a client. Social media will demonstrate the skills and professional techniques of every staff member but what it doesn't showcase are some of the subtleties: 1) I see the same faces every time I go in. The salon has low staff attrition which is a testament to the quality of the business and culture. 2) The salon makes a point of knowing you and your hair history. 3) they provide a quote (ON PAPER) before touching your hair. 3) If there's a hierarchy - then you don't know about it. In fact today I witnessed Emma thanking my amazing hairdresser (Chloe) for assistance and a second opinion on another client's hair. 4) THEY KNOW THEIR SH1T! Every time I'm in (I fully trust Chloe so no need to go into detail about my hair) I always overhear other staff consulting with each other and discussing every aspect of their client's hair and the knowledge blows me away 5) They're real people and absolutely can't be tarred with the fake beauty bimbo brush of so many other salons 6) the business makes a point of being sustainable which is incredible 7) The salon is always supporting local charities and worthy causes. In regards to my most recent visit: I walked in, was greeted by name immediately, met Chloe who asked how I was and what was happening in my life before even looking at my hair and then had the confidence and full trust in her to say "you know what you're doing; whatever you think needs doing, do it". That's huge for me after having paid (much more) for a hair-tastrophe from (somewhere else) only 12 months ago. Chloe reminded me today I've only been attending C'ba Hair since August 2020 and I already have full faith in her to know me, know my hair and do what's best. In fact, if she weren't available, I'd trust any staff member in there to be honest. I understand the value of customer ratings (having worked somewhere that a score of 8/10 in service was a 'fail'). C'ba Hair deserves to be recognised for it's positive culture, social responsibly, professionalism and value for money.
