Great service great results. However very pricey compared to other Zincs & high end salons around town which offer same service & outcomes. This is main reason I’ve gone elsewhere and only go occasionally to this salon if I can’t get an appointment elsewhere when required.

Booked online and happy with prices shown. When paid bill was an extra $100. Not sure why? If extras are added on during visit this needs to be told to clients and prices explained.

Zinc fitted me in at short notice. The hairdresser was observant, listened to and understood my requests. Her work was very good. I was not bombarded with ‘what are you doing this weekend?’ questions. A very professional and busy salon. However, my hairdresser constantly spruiked products I should buy. The treatment I had for my hair was virtually mandatory. And the cost was eyewatering. I would recommend Zinc, they do good hair, no question, but maybe get a quote and ask for ‘no up sell please’!

I got a great haircut and colour here, so overall I came away happy. However I never like getting sold products while I'm in the chair, and here the sell was pretty hard. It also seemed to be based on an assumption I'm unhappy with my hair. I don't think a hairdresser should make that assumption. The main reason for my dissatisfaction, though, is that two services, costing $90 in total, were added without me being given any real choice. I'm sure they were worthwhile and the cost was reasonable. The problem is more one of communication - which wasn't great overall, for example the hairdresser seemed to forget how much I had said I wanted off, and then kept asking me very direct and conclusory questions using terms I didn't understand. I prefer to have more of a conversation where the hairdresser suggests different things and explains why, then I get to say what I think and what I want.
