Really enjoyed my facial and massage, very relaxing. The day spa is set in amazing beautiful tranquil environment. My only disappointed with my visit was that I wasn't recommended any products. Also my therapist disappeared for the treatment room mid way through my massage, it would have been better if my therapist had just whispered in my ear, sorry I have to quickly step out for a moment. Rather than just disappearing.

Meh. Received a gift voucher therefore, felt obligated to book a service. Venue was nice service was good. Had a 45 minute facial which was nice but routine. Nothing out of the ordinary for any day spa. Prices high, limiting clientele to a specific demographic. As with all spa services, promoting products with outrageous prices and interesting scientific claims. Not exceptional enough to encourage a return visit.

I have been to this spa many times and always loved it however my most recent visit was disappointing as I was subjected to two suggestive selling techniques - both before and after my treatment - which were very off putting. The first was literally as I lay on the table awaiting my massage and was asked if I wanted to add on a hair mask or eye treatment for additional charge. The second was the attempt to sell some fisio cream as I tried to relax with a cup of tea post treatment. I had not inquired about wanting either of these things and I felt on edge. One does not appreciate an upsell at an otherwise tranquil and lovely spa.

The massage was lovely as per usual. My only feedback was the garden had huge and lots of weeds in it. I think the first impression of the place is the garden and felt all being it’s winter, the standard was lacking. It won’t stop me coming but wanted to share my opinion.

My sister and l had a Saltair experience recently as we received a massage and facial treatment gift voucher for our birthday. The experience comprised of a body massage and chemical peel. The massage was pleasant however the chemical peel was very disappointing for several reasons. Firstly throughout the hour treatment the staff continually walked in and out of the treatment room. My sister and l could hear their footsteps, and rustling with the products. At one point the lady that was treating me could not open the face mask packet and the sound of the plastic bag that could not be opened was heard for a good 5 minutes. The chemical face treatment followed. Again although l was trying to relax throughout the experience the staff had to continually go into another room to access the hot towels. As the treatment went on the sensation on my face went from tingling to a burning sensation and a severe itchiness. Mid way through the treatment my sister had to say to the lady treating her that her face was burning and severely itchy. We were told it was part of the experience. When I was told the treatment had ended l was very much relieved. We were then taken into another room where we were presented with a cheese plate and glass of champagne. This l must say was lovely and tranquil. When we left Saltair and drove home my sister noticed a severe rash on my neck and several red and irritated spots on my face. Since yesterday my neck has been burning and severely aggravated and itchy. I am now self conscious to be seen in public and also apprehensive to put any make up on as it may further aggregate my skin. It is disappointing as l have always had clear, healthy skin. Saltair has been highly recommended to me and l was excited to have the experience with my sister as part of our birthday. But l have now been left was a bad taste and much dissatisfaction.
