Tough one. On any other day it would have probably been ok. Treated my partner and I to a foot spa before a Gold Class movie. Left a neat 15 minutes between spa and movie and cinemas was a 5 minute walk away. When I booked us in there was no mention to wear particular shoes. Because my partner wore converse with socks, of course this caused issues as the last thing done is nail polish applied and she couldn't put her shoes and socks back on as the polish needed to dry but we had a Gold Class movie booking to go straight to. Staff said nothing at/during the appointment even though it was obvious my partner was wearing shoes and socks. So they took more time to remove the polish at the very end of the spa which meant we were late and my partner didn't experience the full service. Then when at the counter paying full price despite no nail polish for my partner, there was a fault with the EFTPOS machine. It was down. More time is ticking away at this point and now we're 20 minutes late for a Gold Class movie. I was ropeable. Staff were not willing to let us leave until we had paid but it was their machine/system causing the issue. I was like, well, I'll just phone it in after the movie or take a copy of the details now and do it manually later yourself. Nope, not interested. Finally the machine worked and our Gold Class date was ruined. Who wants to spend $150+ (with food/drinks) on Gold Class to miss the first 20 minutes (Jurassic World) So yeah. That was our first and last Pure Indulgence Indooroopilly experience. All could have be avoided with better pre-appointment communication/information to us and some payment flexibility at the end due to their tech issue. Both the spa and Gold Class cost me over $400 and neither went smooth.

They were quite unpleasant to me when I arrived. I had a gift certificate and booked online. When I arrived the told me that you can't use a gift certificate on a Sunday. I was told to sit down and they would ring their manager and let me know if I could keep my appointment. No one came back to me and I had to go and ask if I would be able to be treated or if I needed to rebook. The way I was treated was not fitting for a customer. I was not spoken to respectfully and treated as if I had done something wrong. I was asked by friends and family if they should go there and I told them all that they would find better service elsewhere.

Whenever I've been to Pure Indulgence I've felt bullied and pressured into buying products. Rather than it being a relaxing experience, I've instead felt that the beauticians are pushy and insistent about buying from the salon, ruining the service. Your salon feels like a sales push rather than a place of relaxation. I won't be back.

I enjoyed the treatment. But my overall enjoyment of the experience was marred by feeling very put down about the products I currently use and felt very pushed into buying further experiences and products. I felt that the name Pure Indulgence should reflect that this is an occasional and therefore very special experience. I spent a lot of money on the experience, money I could have well used for something else. I was very disappointed that I came away feeling empty instead of feeling special and indulged. I will not be returning to Pure indulgence and will not be recommending it to anyone else.

I booked two 40 minute massage appointments for myself and my partner. The next day (day of appt) I was called to say due to staff off sick we couldnt have appointments at the same time, they would be one after the other. My partner decided not to come so it was just me. When I walked in the girl just looked at me blankly- I greeted her and said I had an appointment. All she said was "have a seat". No greeting, no sign of who I would be seeing and how long I would wait. I arrived 10 minutes early incase there was paperwork to fill out (there wasnt). After 10minutes past my appointment time I had to ask how behind they were running, as the girls at the counter were only interested in talking to each other about how understaffed they were in December. While waiting no one acknowledged me and I spent my time looking around at the shelves/display stands covered in dust and dirt. Luckily the girl who performed my massage was lovely and made up for the running late/cancellation and dirtiness. The massage was a gift voucher and I am not sure if that is why I was treated like nothing, but word of mouth is very powerful, either positive or negative, so all customers should be made to feel special.

I have been there at the Indoroopilly branch twice now for two different services. For the first service (pedicure), I wasn't able to actually have it done. When I got there, there was still an hour left for the store to close. I was late for an appointment by about fifteen minutes but the aestheticican was sitting there in the waiting room with no other client. Instead of taking me in for a shorter appointment (it would have taken less than 50 minutes for this shorter version based on their menu and based on my preferences), they told me they couldn't take me in. Frankly, I would not recommend them to any family or friends based on that alone. I got this exact service done at another store in the same mall at the last minute! My second service was ok - the aesthetician was alright but they recommended getting peels every two weeks which seems unnecessary based on my experiences at other spas.
