I had the special facial today and i left very disappointed with the service that I received. The person that did my facial did not communicate with me what the package involved, did not explain the products that were applied on my face, the massage was longer than I expected and I received a scalp massage which if I knew was included, I would of opted out and asked them kindly not to touch my head. She also tried to sell me other things to add to the service and just felt like she had an agenda of getting me to pay for more things that I did not want. I have a very sensitive scalp and this massage was not only unwanted but left my hair all oily and I lost a lot of hair because of it. I went there to get a FACIAL and left feeling rather ripped off by the whole experience. I will not be coming back and I would not recommend this place to anymore.

What was supposed to be a relaxing and reinvigorating experience, was anything but. At one point another therapist entered the treatment room and looked through cupboards for something before exiting.... without any apology or reason for the interruption... just walked in and out. There was a change of therapist mid-treatment also without explanation until I asked what was going on. It felt like Central station! Second therapist was lovely, very good and very apologetic, but the overall experience was exceptionally poor. The treatment was a gift from my parents and I had to take leave to be able to use it, so along with being a massive disappointment, it was also a significant waste of time and money.

I am completing the review because I did not experience an enjoyable relaxing or indulgent treatment. I booked for a luxury pedicure which is promoted to last 1hour and 10minutes. I was out in less than an hour. I did mention the treatment was less than an hour when paying and I was told the 10minutes was the setting time. I was not told to wait until the polish dried; as soon as the Nail technician (not a therapist) was finished she told me I can get dress and she will see me outside. I question how principal is promoting the treatment last for 1hour10minutes when 10 minutes is for waiting for polish to dry. I think it is generally accepted when receiving nail polish frequently (not always) the customer has to wait for it to dry. I was not told to wait until the polish on my toes was not set, consequently when I put on my sandals was scraped. I did not notice this until I arrive home because the room is darkened when I got up, which I thought strange because the lights were on during the pedicure. My other issues are the music was not conducive to a relaxing environment and I was cold. I was never asked if I was comfortable. Obviously the technician should not be in the personal service industry because she has no understanding of what this industry is expected to deliver; an indulgent experience. I will not be returning to Pure Indulgence; in the past I have given gift cards to your business but no longer.

I was booked in for a 40 min massage and 50 min pedicure. I arrived before my appointment at 9:10. My consultant approached me at 9:20 with a board to fill out information. We went to the room at 9:25. Massage started at about 10:30 Massage finished at 10:57 I got dressed. Pedicure started after 10am 10:35 I was in the reception paying for my treatments. I mentioned the time issues and received $20 discount. However this was not about the money. This was about an experience and treat for myself after a hard year. So very disappointed ! I will not be back.

I purchased an express Manicure for my mum as a treat before Christmas. I dropped her off 5 minutes early. She’s in her 60’s and had to wait 20minutes on an uncomfortable bench seat. There was no communication from the staff in that time, she was not offered a cup of herbal tea or water while she waited. When she finally went in for her manicure, she was asked to lie down on a bed and the technician did her nails at an awkward angle, half sitting and kneeling (mum said she looked uncomfortable). Mum asked the technician what the difference was between Gell and Shellac nail polish was, the technician said they were the same. Afterwards mum was tired and not happy with her manicure. I inspected her nails and she had different shaped nails, the paint finish was uneven and lumpy, I also noticed they did not trim her cuticles, and some of her nails had rough edges. When we got home I had to finish the job for her and added a top coat of clear polish to rectify the appearance of an uneven surface. I specifically chose Pure Indulgence because they offered a ‘spa experience’ and I wanted mum to relax and be pampered. Extremely disappointed and whilst they do some things well. We won’t be back for nails.
