I purchased an express Manicure for my mum as a treat before Christmas. I dropped her off 5 minutes early. She’s in her 60’s and had to wait 20minutes on an uncomfortable bench seat. There was no communication from the staff in that time, she was not offered a cup of herbal tea or water while she waited. When she finally went in for her manicure, she was asked to lie down on a bed and the technician did her nails at an awkward angle, half sitting and kneeling (mum said she looked uncomfortable). Mum asked the technician what the difference was between Gell and Shellac nail polish was, the technician said they were the same. Afterwards mum was tired and not happy with her manicure. I inspected her nails and she had different shaped nails, the paint finish was uneven and lumpy, I also noticed they did not trim her cuticles, and some of her nails had rough edges. When we got home I had to finish the job for her and added a top coat of clear polish to rectify the appearance of an uneven surface. I specifically chose Pure Indulgence because they offered a ‘spa experience’ and I wanted mum to relax and be pampered. Extremely disappointed and whilst they do some things well. We won’t be back for nails.

Therapist - was excellent, stepped me through each section of the treatment and checked in and i appreciated her recommendations to alter my facial option based on my skin circumstances and desired outcomes. Bench Seat - near the window/entrance area is too low, i found it awkward to sit on and getting up and down (a less able bodied person or someone older may struggle to get up off the chair). Sound Proof door from the waiting room - whilst during the majority of my session i didn't hear people from the waiting room, there was a point towards the end that i could hear people, who i assumed were near the doorway entrance (or in the hallway). It may be an idea to consider a thicker/double glazed door.
