One of the staff conducted a business meeting at a table in the middle of the salon, so I couldn't concentrate on reading my book when I was waiting for my colour to set. The hairdresser, Steph, asked me to chose my desired highlight colours from 2x1" pics on a tablet. This didn't show me what I would look like with the highlights mixed with my current hair colour. I asked her why she didn't use swatches so I could get more of an idea of the end result - she replied that the desired colour nearly always didn't turn out to what was selected from the swatches (made me wonder why they were used the last 2 times I went to that salon). When she asked me what I wanted, she used new hairdressing terms that a hairdresser would understand or someone that regularly goes to the hairdresser but I had had to ask her what she meant which annoyed her. I was shocked when the towel was taken off after the colour had been put in and the washing done - I was expecting a lot of blonde but it just looked brown. After it dried I saw some whiteish highlights that looked more grey than blonde. She told me the process she would follow but she didn't follow it. She said she'd cut my hair and then ask me if I wanted any more cut - she didn't ask, she just started curling it - and I'd never even said I wanted it curly! When she first and FINALLY asked me what I thought, I said the cut was ok but I wasn't happy with the colour. She asked if I wanted a re-colour which I agreed to (she didn't mention whether this would be complementary or I would have to pay). I made an appointment but decided not to attend and the reason is that after I'd told her I wasn't happy with the colour and we were at reception making payment etc, not once did she look at me - I considered this rude and so I didn't want to go back there and feel uncomfortable. That was probably the 4th or 5th time I'd been to that Salon and I won't go there again.
