Overall I am always happy to return to the relaxing environment Aquarius provides. It's just a shame that the Japanese philosophy of the onsen is not applied to the steam room and swimming pool. It really would save a lot of pfafing around with towels etc. just to chill and relax without having to be conscious of offending anyone. I have always found it quite perplexing why as adults, we cannot socialise communally without swimwear. All it takes is a little maturity and mutual respect. Why anyone should have an issue with that, is beyond me. Nudity is not about sex, although I imagine there are some who cannot differentiate the two, which ruins it for the rest. Please consider making the steam room and swimming pool clothing optional (even if it's for set times, it is a good start) as traditionally, men and women bathed together at both onsets and sentÅs. The Japanese often talk of the virtues of "naked communion" for breaking down barriers and getting to know people in the relaxed atmosphere of an onsen. I am looking forward to the next visit.
