Staff seemed really busy and not willing to take the time to engage with me. Not once was I asked how my day was. I found the black light booth at the front a bit odd - I don't want to see all my faults pointed out. This should be offered but not mandatory before a treatment. I also found it irritating to be asked whether I wanted to add extra 10 dollar services. I know it isn't the staff's fault, but I think a simple question such as, would you like to hear about additional services?rather than asking throughout the treatment. I didn't feel pampered, but more like I was trying to be sold to.

sadly this was not the best experience as usually we get very good service. Half leg wax was successful in removing hair - however a significant amount of wax film was left on the legs. even though a massage was provided at the end. This was only 3rd time for waxing and to ensure a willingness to continue waxing Siobhan would benefit from having a positive experience - especially when paying average of $50 a visit. In the last therapists have not used a cold pack either to reduce the pain!

My treatment, massage and pedicure were great, however I did not feel comfortable speaking up at the time when the beautician significantly hurt me with the trimming of my cuticle - see photo. I think I may well have been asleep, and awoke startled, jumping reflexly in pain. The beatician at no point acknowledged that she had hurt me, or apologised and it was only after I had left the salon and was in sufficient light that I could see the extent of the bleeding. Today it continues to be quite red and painful, and as a doctor, I am trying to ensure there is not an infection brewing. I trust that the equipment is suitably sterilised to ensure that in the event of an accidentl injury like this, the risks are minimised. I appreciate that accidents can happen, however, would have felt better about it if the beautician involved had at least acknowledged my pain at the time and apologised and perhaps provided some guidance regards the potential for infection (obviously as a doctor, I don't need this advice, however another customer may well need to be informed of the signs of a localised infection). This experience will not prevent me from returning to Pure Indulgence Indooroopilly as I am a longstanding customer, however, it will be some time before I attend for a pedicure again as there are many alternatives on offer for this within the centre.

I only came to the salon for a brow wax but the whole time the therapist was doing the hard sell trying to upsell packages and products. I am the salon to relax. Can't this information be given at the front counter so I can enjoy my treatment. I felt coerced into purchasing a series of brow waxes when I wasn't really interested and really didn't have the money.

The staff at reception were helpful and professional demonstrating a willingness to please and were receptive to questions and willing to provide timely advice on products. However, I wasn't disappointed with my overall visit because the eyelash tint that I had was poor. In fact friends asked me if I had had my eyelashes tinted because they couldn't see the difference. There was no die on the bottom lashes at all and on the top lashes it was minimal. My facial was okay. My underarm wax was well done with the therapist taking the time to ensure that all stray hairs and ingrown hairs were removed, so I was pleased with the end result. I wish I could say the same for my other treatments.
