I normally book for a price of $158 and am pleased that there are never any hidden costs at Miss Gertrude - something I have always disliked at other salons. However, this time as I booked on the phone, there must have been no communication that I had been put under someone more expensive. $20 extra isn't a big deal I know, however, this time my hair was closer to $200 rather than closer to $150, and I had very little expertise required as it was the exact same thing I've asked for for the past 3 appointments. I just don't like hidden costs and also don't like being charged more for the same thing, with no good reason. Otherwise I like it there.

Great little salon in close proximity to the city. Fantastic strong coffee! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the hairdresser was very courteous and professional. It is hard to find a stylist who does a blow dry just the way I like it. Will definitely return to this salon.

I was there for the first appointment and found it very cool. I always find the colourist very helpful and engaging. The last 2 haircuts I have not been happy with. Thinking of changing cutter.

I am happy with my haircut, hairdresser was great, but person greeting me was not friendly and verging on rude. Everything else was great, but that did taint the experience.

I was expecting a little more of a change to my hair. Although the violent tones where stripped out of my hair, I guess I was expecting my hair to look a little different to when I first walked in, when I was going in there for balayage. Cannot fault the Customer Service though, the girl was lovely.
