I am a qualified hairdresser (not practicing) and so I'm very precious about my hair. But I had a look at the Miss Gertrude website and loved the vibe and I used the online booking option for an appointment with Jens. He was amazing and gave me what I wanted (even though I don't think I even really knew) I loved how he styled it (after going to a lot of salons where blow drying isn't part of the service I was really happy). The product I bought smells divine and the basin shampoo and massage was great as well. I'm definitely not looking for anywhere else to get my hair done! Miss Gertrude is fabulous!

My first experience at Miss Gertrude was not a great one - the hairdresser who cut my hair was rushed and disinterested. I went there a second time as I couldn't be bothered trying to find a new salon, and ended up with the same hairdresser. This time the cut was better. And on my third visit I had the same hairdresser and this time the experience was excellent - she listened to me and gave me great advice and a good haircut. It is a lovely salon, so I'm glad I gave them a second chance. I guess sometimes a hairdresser cares about you more when they've seen you more than once.

Having little to no personal taste i googled 'hairdresser' fitzroy and ended up at Miss Gertrude. I was put in with Jens (apologies if i spell that wrong!). I told him to do whatever he thought was best. He seemed to sum me up pretty quickly (i assume you get good at this when you've been cutting hair for 30 years!!!). Gave me an awesome haircut (i feel like i belong to this decade now) that i can do 'up' when i go out or can just completely leave alone for everyday and still looks good. Thanks Jens

I don't enjoy spending $98 on a 25 minute haircut that looks terrible. The hairdresser seemed like a nice person trying their best but if I wanted to be misinterpreted, get no advice and walk out with a terrible hair style I would have gone to Just Cuts and saved myself some money. I feel swindled. Fuck it, next time I am going to Just Cuts.
