I left my previous hairdresser after twenty years of loyalty. I love the way they cut and color and have followed my team through four shifts of salon but have been hating the experience of their latest salon which is incredibly loud and abrasive (and also in Gertrude St!). It was a big deal for me to switch hairdressers but I came away from Miss Gertrude feeling like I'd been truly cared for. I realized for the first time that having my hair cut and courted should be a self care experience and I am actually looking forward to going again... I never feel that way about hairdressers! Everyone I dealt with was lovely, the environment was quiet and peaceful and the cut was great. If your colorists are good - which I'll try on my next visit - you'll have me for life. thank you for respecting customer service.
