I was quoted $115 when I booked. I said no to treatment. Was charged $155 in the end. Saying its because I got a blow dry? My hair felt awful after I had to wash it straight away. Didnt get the cut I wanted. Blowdry was rushed because her next client was waiting and kept talking to her. When I asked why it was 155 she said 115 is only for a cut and 155 for blow dry. Booking system still says 120 for shampoo cut and blowdry. So overpriced i havent seen that kind of pricing anywhere. Happy to pay 155 if the service was extraordinary but it was far from it. I had to get another haircut after to fix it because I cant go out in public with this kind of hair. When I provided the feedback via instagram it was dismissed saying its because it took her so long. She saw my hair before she started she should have been upfront about it. Very very disappointing and a waste of money.

When I think of going to the hair dresser, I simply get so excited. Leaving the hair dresser is the one time that I truly feel my most beautiful. The experience I had at zink was not enjoyable at all. Firstly I was told I would be left sitting there for 20 minutes with the hair dye in my hair. The lady walks off and leaves me there for 40+ min. Not one checkup to ask how I was or update me. After that not only was I not asked how I wanted my hair to be styled, I was left leaving the salon feeling insecure, ugly, and above all ripped off. Will definelty not be recommending this place. I didn’t bleach my hair blonde, simply dyed it brown. Other hair salons Charged $70 for a dye brown, for the exact same quality as zink, if not better. When zink charged me $255 Leaving me to feel insecure and ugly. After sharing the price and this experience with my friends, they advised me that my simple hair dye brown, costed way more than their full head dyed blonde. They were all outraged at the price and none of them will be coming to zink. This experience has warded me off ever wanting to go back to any hair dresser again as I simply do not ever want to feel like I paid nearly $250 to feel like the ugliest human on the planet. As I was sitting there for 40 minutes waiting , I noticed many other customers sitting waiting with no body tending to them, half the staff was sitting out the back doing god knows what. I understand that hair dye needs to sit in the hair, but at other hair dressers salon, the ladies have come over to me multiple times to check on my hair, update me on the time, ask me how I’m feeling and etc, which did not happen to me once at zink, leaving me to feel as if I was simply not cared about. I understand that I also got a treatment and “TRIM” but I’m just completely baffled about how those could simply all cost $245, when like I’ve said I’ve gotten all 3 of those things, plus a blow dry and styling for the exact same quality with a much more enjoyable environment and experience for around $120. The time I bleached my hair blonde at zink over 2 years ago costed the exact same money as a simple dye brown :,) just in complete shock. I understand we pay for the product , but we also pay for the experience. I feel ripped off that I had such a horrible experince and start to my day and that I now have to finish the rest of my day feeling ugly and insecure. Now the lady did the best she could and I love the colour so much, next time I would just appreciate some more check ins as to how I’m feeling, an accurate time frame as to how long you’re gonna leave me sitting there and maybe ask how I would like my hair to be styled next time.
