Starfas Hair Design was established in 1985 by Peter Starfas on Chapel St. In 1998 Peter opened a salon in Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre where he stated until 2002. In 2010 Mel took over the family business, opened Starfas Hair Design in South Yarra Arcade, Toorak Rd. In May 2014 Starfas Hair Design relocated to Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre.

Walked out of my cut and colour appointment with Mel today feeling like a $million. Even better when I considered the value for money! Mel has chosen base colours that suit my skin tone and are soft enough to take years off my face! As a bonus, she introduced me to a new product, that has left my fine hair feeling soft and bouncy. (Actually cheaper than my current conditioner, which is a bonus). I moved to Starfras in Dec 2020 because my old salon was near my place of work. I felt welcomed and appreciated her advice on adjusting my colours. Starfras is now my only salon. Thanks Mel.
