Xiang Hair first opened its doors in
1989 in a small suburban salon in Melbourne's west.
With only two staff members and one
big vision, founder Tom Donato set
about building a strong creative force
in Australian hairdressing.
Already established as one of Australia's leading salons, Xiang Hair now boasts four salons across Melbourne, over 30 staff members and many industry accolades.

My hair wasn’t in great shape prior to my visit (lots of time in salt water and chlorine). Gabby spent the time to give my hair a complete refresh using the Smartbond system and a gorgeous treatment. All I can say is wow! The colour is amazing and the blending perfect! My hair feels completely soft and brand new! Gabby has so much experience and enthusiasm to share and provides excellent advice on how to care for your hair. Gabby is the complete hair specialist who I recommend to everyone and is a positive role model for the team. The vibe at Xiang is so welcoming. All staff are friendly and work incredibly hard at their craft. It’s so easy to see that they love what they do every day. Both my daughters (14 and 12) have their hair cut at Xiang (since they were very young) and they are treated equally as special. Thank you again!
