While I can't fault the professionalism of the staff or final result I was shocked by the price of the service (over $450 for half head foils, regrowth and trim). I take full responsibility for not asking for a quote upfront when booking, but instead I received the quote when I was in the salon and I was too embarrassed to leave or ask for reduced service.

I absolutely love the new hair style and colour; however, I was beyond shocked at the price - $500...and my hair is short! The cost wasn't made clear to me when I arrived and whilst the stylist explained the steps in the colouring process and the products to be used, she didn't indicate that each step had an expensive $ value attached to it. Had I known I would have just had the colour, foils and cut option with no "extras". I won't be going back unfortunately as I love the cut and colour, but I don't think it is value for money. I think the company should do its' due diligence and be up front about how much a cut and colour is going to cost at the beginning of the consult so that customers have an opportunity to negotiate the level of products used. I wasn't aware that going in for a new colour and cut, on short hair, would end up costing so much.

Normally happy with Zink Unley. Yesterday though, I was disappointed with daughter's hair style. I had requested two side braids and the rest of the hair to be down with curls (when I booked her appointment over the phone). When she got home with her dad, her hair was in a ponytail and there were no curls just a very slight wave in the ponytail. Not as special as I would have liked it for a family wedding.

I was happy that I could walk in off the street & get an appointment for a hair trim & colour. However I was more than shocked at the price I had to pay at the end. I had no idea that each extra thing they did was an extra charge. I regret not asking about the cost of each service before. I can have the same end result at another hairdresser for half the price. A very, very expensive one & a half hours!
