Staff were accommodating, and unfortunately that is the only decent takeaway that I can comment on from this experience. There was no cuticle care, no massage, no sense of "luxury" to this experience at all. The chairs were uncomfortable, and the foot rest was so flimsy that I found myself having to hover my feet in fear of snapping the foot rest, and I am within a normal weight range, so that certainly should not have been an issue. The buckets & foot rest felt cheap, tacky and uncomfortable and was a stark contrast to the luxurious surrounds. The treatment was underwhelming, and certainly not worth $90. Mum also got charged $50 for an eyebrow wax, which is absurdly over priced. To be perfectly honest, I would be embarrassed to offer these services for this price.

the whole place needs some TLC. the look when you walk in is kind of like a cheap chemist, selling nic naks and cheap sunnies. honestly for the money I expected more. lady doing the service was nice.

We regularly get pedicures from the shopping centre nail bars, however, the lure of an hour long pedicure which by the description was "a full soak in deep sea salts, an enriched callous-free wrap, followed by some delicate treatment for your nails. Your therapist will then soothe the contours of your feet, massage the tension from your tired toes". My daughter and I were so disappointed in the service that we received. The full soak in deep sea salts - if you call half a bucket of warm water with soap in it a full soak, then that is what we got. The delicate treatment of our nails was a quick file before the foot soak in half a bucket of soapy water - there was no treatment for the cuticles, there was no cutting of nails, there was nothing. So the build up for the massage was paramount to try and recover from the so far disappointing service, but alas the massage was a quick 2 minute rubbing in of cream over the feet, no massaging of tension from tired toes at all. We paid $90 each for our pedicure, and then I got my eyebrows waxed - all up the 3 treatments cost $230. So a quick calculation meant I paid $50 for an eyebrow wax which was exorbitant by anyone's standards. I guess what makes this visit so disappointing was we were so looking forward to it, having been regular customers of the Royal in the past getting facials, we thought we would try a pedicure. We definitely will not be going back for pedicures, I feel the service that we got from the shopping centre nail bars for $50 is way better value - we got a hot stone massage, we got a lymphatic massage for our lower legs and soles of our feet and our cuticles were given more treatment and attention. Sadly I guess the anticipation didn't meet the reality. The young lady that performed the pedicure was very lovely and friendly.

$270 seems a lot for 2x 60min massages, 2 plastic cups of water and some time in a bath with jets. Shower facilities would be an improvement and expected for the prices of your treatments. No advice was provided, no questions regarding client comfort were asked (eg are you freezing cold with the air con on? Are you happy with the pressure of your massage, do you have any injuries or areas you would like focused on or avoided?) it was a fluke I mentioned I'm breast feeding and that the use of essential oils is not recommended, I'm not sure everyone in the same situation would know this.

My aesthetician needed to leave mid treatment to tend to the front desk. The bowl and footrest in the pedicure area were not comfortable. I understand the choice of bowl/footrest may have been guided by esthetics, but for a $90 pedi, comfort needs to be considered.
