Usually I speak highly of my services I experience at pure indulgence. I had my first Brazilian wax last Friday. Expecting it to be painful, I did not expect the level of pain due to the wax being used. The technician tried to pull the wax when the wax had not set properly. Not only that, many times over the wax once set kept breaking. I felt like for the majority of the waxing, it was pulled off in sections because of this. It was hugely painful. I was expecting the wax to be pulled off in one motion. Sometimes the wax was pulled up to four times In order to peel it off completely. The technician apologised for this many times over. I have a terrible rash due to broken skin. It is still there over a week later. I will never be returning for a Brazilian at this beauty salon due to the experience I had.

I'm glad I was given my pedicure as a gift and I didn't have to pay. $69 for a pedicure and you don't even get a foot massage or top coat on your nails. I would much rather pay $35 at one of the other nail salons and get a great foot and half leg massage along with a better finish on the nail polish.

The girl who did my eyebrows spent the entire time trying to sell me products when she should’ve been focusing on my eyebrows because one of them is significantly shorter than the other. Additionally, the skin under one of my eyebrows Is still red today and feels as though it’s been burnt.

I know that I booked in for a repeat treatment (the August promotion) and when I was going back for my next round of treatment I was informed that I was not to get my two other treatments as you are not allowed to purchase promotional packages outside if you have already brought one which is not what I was told when I brought the second package so I have overspent for one treatment for not getting the rest of the package! total rip off and I am most not happy about it. This is also the third time I have had my appointment rescheluded by the salon so Pure Indulgence Concept Store at Carindale needs to get there act together! Also, I watched ten different customers come in while I was waiting wanting to purchase products and no one was in the reception area for over 15 mins.

Unfortunately this was a really unpleasant experience. It took an hour for a brazillian wax and she kept going over and over the same area. It was very painful and she just kept applying thick layers of wax. She did each side 4 times, alternating between, eventually saying that it was getting pretty red so she shouldn't keep going (she did offer to tweeze what was left but by this stage I just needed to get out of there). Despite this, no aftercare products were made available before I dressed. She reminded me multiple times that I should come more regularly. I appreciate that more frequent waxing will make each visit less painful but I don't feel this accounts for the level of discomfort I experienced today. Surely I should be able to expect a decent level of service regardless of how long it's been since the last wax? If not, this should be made clear upon booking. To be honest, the reason I haven't had regular waxes for the past 12 months is because I've had three consecutive miscarriages during that time and just wasn't ready to have any more poking and prodding in the area than I'd already experienced. Now that I'm ready to get back to regular waxes, I'll find somewhere else to get them done. Amy was polite and friendly, it was just unfortunate that the wax was so unpleasant.

I was booked in the have a pedi and a manicure with a French polish. The exfoliating of my feet was perfect but the quality of the polish was so bad I took it off ASAP. My manicure was rather lack lustre and the polish was worst. I did comment to the receptionist Isabella although her name tag said Gabrielle. She then removed it herself and redid them. The second was better then the first. She said it was no trouble but her body language told me different. I also had my eyebrows shaped and that was well done. I arrived at the salon at 9.30 and never left until 1.00. In that time no one offered me a drink of water etc . They were gracious enough to not charge me for the manicure. I certainly will not be returning to that particular salon and will be urging my family and friends not to as well. Instead of having a relaxing morning / day it ended up quite stressful as I do not like complaining but felt as both polishes were so bad I had to have some satisfaction. I felt both young girls that cared for me were very under qualified. I realise they need to gain experience to learn but don't believe customers should be charged full price to be their guinea pigs. They were at least friendly unlike the receptionist/ manager. Thank you for asking for my opinion. Sorry it was so long winded but if all your salons are falling to that level I will be finding myself alternate beauty care.
