The consultant seemed generally unenthusiastic about the massage she was giving. I asked for a firm massage which started off well. She used good pressure on my back but dug her fingers (and nails at times) hard into my skin as she ran them down adjacent to my spine. I asked her to be softer. She also squeezed the small bones at the top of my shoulders to the sides of my neck. I winced and said ‘ouch’ but she did the same on the other side. The oil dried up about half way through and she didn’t replace it. The massage felt strange after that, dry and just a bit meh. At the end she asked me how I felt and I said I felt ok but that the face rest had been uncomfortable. She said ‘i’m glad you enjoyed your treatment, I’ll meet you out the front’. The parts of the massage outside of these issues, were very nice. Not what I expect though when i’m paying $75 for 30 mins.

Very disappointed with my visit, over the years have frequently booked with pure indulgence and had not been in a while. Had booked for a signature massage which the website states is 1.5 hours, as I was taken into the room the therapist told me my massage was for 1hour, I stated that the website said 1.5hr and confirmed the package with her, she said no that is only 1 hour and assumed I must have got it wrong. The massage bed looked like it hadn't been completely made up, I think a sheet or towel must have been missing as there was only a grey comforter looking cover on the bed. When I was asked to turn over onto my back my therapist moved the pillow that was under my feet to under my head, I'm not a picky person usually but this has never happened to me in previous massages, this pillow was also not comfortable for head and neck. At 60minutes she told me my therapy was over and I got up to change, heard a knock at the door and was told that I actually had 30mins to go, so we decided on continuing with another back massage, it felt like I waited another 5minutes plus minutes for her to come back into the room and then she just did the same massage movement on my back for 20minutes. I was extremely disappointed and upset that I just wanted to pay and leave after that experience.

I went in for a face wax with specific instructions to not touch the eyebrow area as I was letting them grow out.. After the girl waxed my face she then started cleaning up stray hairs then she started plucking my eyebrows. She removed and trimmed the major parts of my eyebrows before I could even say anything. I'm so upset as the hair doesn't grow fast at all. Then she waxed my arms and missed major parts and left wax all Over them. I have a 6 pack of waxing and I'm only 2 in. I want the rest cancelled.

I booked in for the luxury hot oil pedicure with a voucher I had received from my good friends and was thoroughly disappointed! I would have received a better pedicure from a walk in nail salon in the mall. I was traveling overseas that night so thought I would treat myself. I was looking forwarding an amazing foot and leg massage with hot oil as the menu described but received none of it. To add to the disappointment not even 24 hours later the nail polish has chipped, my cuticles don't look like they have been touched there is nail polish on my skin and my feet are still rough even though they report to use an amazing foot tool. I don't know about everyone else but when one spends $85 on a luxury pedicure I want my feet to feel like baby's skin and my nails to look amazing! I would never recommend this treatment at Pure Indulgence to anyone .... it really isn't worth the money!

I attended carindale concept store today for facial waxing. I am disappointed with the job done. There are patches of hair still on the sides of my face and my eyebrows are not a clean finish. If I hadn't bought the wax pack I would not be returning.

I had a voucher close to expiry and as a busy Mum planned a nice relaxing day away from little children. I chose to get a facial, manicure and pedicure. Brooke was really lovely but quite nervous during the initial stages of my treatment. . I found the order of services unusual as I had my manicure and was then taken to a treatment room to get ready for my facial. Getting ready for this caused two nails to be damaged straight away. The treatment room was the one closest to the store front and my facial experience was not at all relaxing. I could hear staff and customers talking, cupboards being roughly closed, and for a Mum who was already feeling guilty about leaving her little ones, the constant sound of s baby crying which made it impossible to relax. I have not been to this business before but I assumed that treatments were given in quiet, serene environments, and not rooms that provided regular reminders that you were indeed in a busy shopping centre. I have not had a face cleaning routine for many years and was also surprised when I was simply told that my current routine seemed to be fine, and perhaps just an eye cream was needed. My husband went two days later and his face was assessed in detail and he was given quite a bit of information as to how he could improve his daily cleansing routine. When these gift vouchers were sold, it also appears that the card was placed on the wrong voucher - my card amount was only for $100 when the voucher said $180 and so I ended up paying the extra for my treatment. When my husband went in for his, his voucher was supposed to be for $100 as written on the voucher but his card value was for $180. This was costly for us as what was meant to be. Treat by a family member became a bit of an expensive visit. I enjoyed having the facial and it was lovely to have my nails done, but having been to spas many times before children, I found this experience to be lacking in the overall ‘relaxation/time out’ department.
