Hi. After so long being unable to visit you guys, I was quite excited to return. I had Matthew colour and cut my hair. The colour went well as did the treatment at the basin (conducted by a new young woman who seemed to be only just starting out). I am very disappointed by the cut, however. It was less than 15 minutes in the chair. Matthew almost cut in a straight line to even up the line of my hair but despite asking him three times to take some of the bulk out of the body of the hair, he didn't. He'd just muss it up a bit and ask "is that better?" He seemed to be rushing to get to the next client. I asked for a wispy fringe as well (both at the outset of the appointment and during the cut), but he didn't oblige. I effectively just got a trim at the ends and I was managing to do that myself at home! I still have this flop of thick hair getting in my eyes. I don't need someone to contact me but I would like someone to have a word with Matthew about client experience and listening to what the client wants.

Poor technique causing extreme discomfort during the treatment (sugaring! And as a result s really poor job, that honestly, I wish I didn’t have to pay for, as I’m going to have to fix it up when I get home.

I come to you regularly for my cut and colours so I thought I'd try you for a massage. Unfortunately the massage was very poor, to the point where I made an excuse to end the 1 hour appointment to 30 minutes as I didn't want to waste my time or money. The lady was very very sweet, but I'm afraid her massage technique was more a string stroke than a massage, and very repetitive in the stroking. I did ask her twice to put more pressure, and she did, but it just wasn't up to the standard that I am used to I'm afraid. I also said when we were on our way upstairs that I was there because the muscles in my neck were tense but she didn't really touch that area. It therefore felt very poor value for money, and if I'm honest I would like a refund/the money towards my next hair appointment please. Other comments are that I'm used to an environment where the lights are dimmed and music is playing, so this would make the environment nicer but it wouldn't affect my review of that was the only qualm. I felt awkward enough making my excuses to end the appointment early, and I would've told the lady in the front desk but the masseuse was still there so I didn't feel able to. I don't really want anything to be said to her as I come to you regularly and that would make it awkward when I'm next in, hence why I am informing you now and not at the time. Looking forward to hearing from you.
