I had such a positive experience with my hairdresser, Maddie, and her senior mentor (whose name I've unfortunately forgotten). My appointment was a discounted training service, with Maddie completing my hair under the guidance of her mentor. From the beginning, everything was communicated so clearly that I knew the appointment would take a little longer while she learned and received feedback. I came prepared for that and didn't mind at all. What stood out most wasn't just the service, it was the environment. The way Maddie and her mentor worked together was so encouraging, respectful and positive. You could genuinely see the supportive learning culture, and as a customer, that translated into feeling completely confident in the service I was receiving. They communicated every step, managed my expectations well, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. The atmosphere was so welcoming and uplifting that I actually found myself thinking, "I want to work here!" It's rare to walk into a workplace where the culture is so obviously kind, healthy and focused on growth. Their positivity rubbed off on me, and I left feeling happier than when I arrived. I've been to Daly Salon before and have always had good experiences with other hairdressers, but this appointment was especially memorable because of how understanding, welcoming and encouraging everyone was. I'll definitely be returning to Maddie as she continues to develop her skills and career. I highly recommend Daly Salon. You can genuinely tell they foster a supportive and respectful workplace, and that positive culture carries through to every customer experience. If you're considering booking one of the student-led appointments like Maddie's, I'd absolutely encourage it. Just go in with the understanding that these appointments are part of a learning experience, so they may take a little longer and not every request may be achievable exactly as you originally imagined. The team communicates this openly, manages expectations well, and ensures you're happy with the final result. As long as you're patient, flexible and understand the purpose of these training appointments, you'll not only receive great service but also help support someone's growth in their career.
