I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early happy to wait as I work 2 doors down in the arcade and had just finished work. I was set up in the chair at my appointment time and was waiting half an hour with no one checking in on me for the whole time. I finally worked up the courage to ask how long it would be before I was seen. I was informed that my hairdresser had just started a consult with a new client who walked in 15 after my appointment time was meant to start. I opted to walk out because I am super unimpressed with the lack of service and communication. The assistant gave me the excuse “sorry, this client is notorious for being late”. Why would you prioritise a late client over a client who had arrived 20 minutes prior? In addition, when the assistant went to ask my stylist Maddy how long she would be, the late client in the chair asked what was going on. Maddy informed the late client that I was the next client wanting to now reschedule because she was running late. The late client replied and said “oh thank you”. All of this went on two chairs over from me, meaning the hairdresser and client were discussing the situation while sitting next to me. Maddy did not talk to me or offer an apology at all, I had to communicate via the assistant. I get things don’t always run on time and that’s ok. But I did not like the feeling of being left with no communication and feeling ridiculed in front of the other client who seemingly had more status or right of way than me for some reason. I won’t be rescheduling to your salon, I will try elsewhere instead.

I had such a disappointing experience with Austin. I had gone in specifically for a curly cut and I had said that I wanted my hair to lie just below my shoulders to rejuvenate my curls as my hair was getting too long to maintain. My hair was cut well above my shoulders that I can't even hold it in my hands to tie it up. My curls are non-existent after my cut and my side part was cut into curtain bangs that don't curl anymore either. I paid $125 for this and I am left heartbroken my hair now looks like a bob. I have trusted this salon for a year and have always been happy to pay a little more for their good service, but I am left disheartened and very upset that my hair was treated like this. I will not be returning after this experience.

The staff were lovely. I have a copper colour to my hair before the service which after discussing with the colourist we were going for a more natural foil with only a few blonds scattered through. I feel as though my hair looks the same as when I went in, although I now have 2 chunky blonds strips in my mid section. I did talk to the colourist about it, but she said that’s what we had agreed on. Maybe we were on a different page or I just didn’t understand what she meant. You may contact me if you wish to talk about it. Regards, Nancye.

I was honestly very disappointed with the service. While the stylist was kind, friendly, and pleasant, it felt as though I had either not spoken English or she simply had not listened to me. I took the time to read about how I should prepare for a curly haircut, and I followed those recommendations exactly. I came with my hair in its natural state so I could show her the length I had and explain what I wanted. Although it is true that I wanted a haircut, I WAS VERY EMPHATIC in telling her that I am wearing my hair naturally now and that I am no longer straightening it. Therefore, IT COULD NOT BE THAT SHORT. I showed her with my fingers, gave her measurements, pointed to the exact length I wanted, and I made the following comment: NO SHORTER THAN THAT. The length I showed her was just below my bust. My hair ended up much shorter, well above my bust. My question is: why? If a client clearly expresses what they want, why is that not respected? Many people will say, "Hair grows back," but that is not the point. The point is feeling that my decision and my instructions were not respected, and that has left me feeling extremely frustrated. Yesterday, when I went in to book my appointment, I made it VERY clear. I said: ONLY A HAIRCUT, BECAUSE I WILL BE COMING DURING MY LUNCH BREAK AND I DON'T HAVE ANY EXTRA TIME. During today's appointment, she told me she was going to style it. I replied, "No, I have to go back to work." It was as if I had not said anything. She went ahead and wet my hair again and started using the diffuser. I told her this at 1:49 p.m., and she didn't actually start styling it until 1:58 p.m. I told her to leave it as it was because I didn't have any more time. I reminded her that I had already explained this when I booked the appointment yesterday. To be honest, by that point I was holding back tears because of how short my hair had become. AND THAT WAS WITH MY HAIR COMPLETELY SOAKING WET. JUST IMAGINE HOW IT LOOKS NOW THAT IT IS DRY. My only recommendation is that your hair stylists truly listen to their clients, pay attention, and be precise. You, more than anyone, know how long it takes for hair to grow 20 cm. That is well over a year, and it is simply not fair when someone has been VERY EMPHATIC about what they wanted. In addition, the stylist initially tried to charge me for the full service (AUD $120). I asked her why, since I did not receive a blow-dry or a complete styling service. The only thing she did was wet my hair again to apply a product, and when she started using the diffuser, that was when I told her, "No, IT'S OK, leave it as it is. Another important point is that she had to stop the service twice to answer the phone. Also, after checking your website, I noticed that she does not appear anywhere on your team page, which makes me question her level of experience and expertise.

Have been a consistent client here for years but recently had a new stylist for my appointment (a straightforward trim and blowdry) - the appointment started and ended over 30 minutes past the scheduled time, with the stylist leaving for a significant duration of the appointment to tend to another client, which also meant a majority of the styling and prep ended up being done by an apprentice/other staff. Brushes were left in my hair for chunks of time and the blow dry had to be left incomplete because of the delay with things and the stylist was completely absent for a majority of the time, which also meant I paid for an appointment with an experienced stylist and instead received a mismanaged appointment run primarily by other assisting staff.

Austin was great, the head massage was super relaxing and I loved that Austin was friendly with some great advice but completely honest about the condition of my hair!
