It starts inside. Sol Hair is a salon of the senses; a relaxing space offering a completely rejuvenating and energising experience that involves sight, sound, smell and touch from the moment you walk in the door. The space is private, earthy, ambient, welcoming and totally calm: think raw materials, hanging plants, lemongrass scents, happy vibes, and calming curated playlists. Here, the name of the game is relaxation, and of course, really great hair. This love of the environment extends outside too, with a strong focus on sustainability, recycling, minimal water usage, ethical practices and the use of organic products. Even from the salon basins, the Sol team are aiming to protect the environment in everything they do.


Sol Hair was created in 2018 by award-winning hairdresser Kristie Sibson, as a place of escape for both the body and the mind. After two years working in London for a leading salon, Kristie returned to Australia to continue her career as a hairdresser in Paddington. She has worked in some of Brisbane’s best salons, was selected as part of the Redken team for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week three years running, and has collected quite the client base and social media following along the way.

I would say my stylist- is now my favourite ever for brisbane city. I just had such a beautiful experience, I felt comfortable all the way through.. and I was treated with such respect, and educated on what was best for my hair type ect. I was asked lots questions about what I liked, my opinion being extremely valid. Best salon around- from my experience, and I have been hunting.. And as my 11year old boy keeps telling me… “Oh mum- your hair looks soo ooo good” I feel like a million dollars- and that’s what I have been looking for in a stylist. Big big thank you!

Cannot rate Sol Hair highly enough. I've been going to Kristie for three years now for balayage after avoiding hairdressers for nearly a decade after an awful experience ended in a chemical haircut. Kristin took the anxiety out of getting my hair coloured and takes the time every visit to really listen to what I would like done that visit. She is an absolute magician with hair colour, I've left every visit absolutely delighted with my colour. The salon itself is beautiful and relaxing, you're always offered a drink and snacks every visit, and I love that it's a sustainable salon. Highly recommend!
