I always like to visit the barber in school holidays for a shave etc as a way to relax/pamper myself, usually I like to mix it up with who I go to or to try a few different places. The fellow barber is one of them. Having had many shaves in my time, I knew what to expect. I was extremely surprised initially when the barber started shaving with no shaving cream. Not only was it slightly painful, but it was disconcerting also as I know how sensitive it can be in areas getting a shave. Half way through I was about to pull out due to the shear pain, however knew that I had to do the shopping anyway and did not want to walk around with a half shaved face. The barber then apologised that they were currently out of shaving cream. If I had known this prior I certainly would not have come for this service. Around the upper lip and chin was a horrible experienced which has left me cut with a rash. Possibly the most horrible experience I have had in a barber chair. Worst of all, I still got slogged $48 for it. I had been thinking surely this would be of no charge due to the outcome. The waxing of ears and nose was fine. This is unacceptable.
