The salon is beautiful and the ladies are very lovely, I just wish I had left the salon happier and with my hair coloured like I had booked. I am blonde and I had booked in for an overall colour and a cut. I had paid the $100 deposit and had booked weeks in advance and was really excited. When I arrived the ladies were lovely, but unfortunately I was told that what I wanted was going to cost $430ish dollars instead of the $230ish dollars I had booked online. I was given three options 1. Cut & gloss $127 on top of $100 deposit 2. A baylage which was gonna cost $200 on top of the $100 deposit or 3. The original colour I wanted $300ish on top of the $100 deposit. I felt a little uneasy and being a student I budget and so felt a little corned and ended up picking the cheapest option possible because I was scared I was going to loose the deposit and at the time I didn’t realise I could have just said give me the hair cut and I’ll decide later on the colour but I felt pressured to pick one of the options. So I went with the gloss and cut and yes the gloss is nice and did help with my regrowth a little, but I ended up going home really upset mainly because I had also travelled from the north side and spent 1.5 hour in traffic on the way home. I guess it felt like a waste of time and money and I ended up not getting what I wanted and now still need to book somewhere to get a colour. I think when you have a new client, the booking system should include an option for a free 5-10min consultation prior to the appointment, just to have a chat about your goals and get a real idea of how much money is involved. The booking system could include the option to upload a pic of your hair and also maybe a goal photo of what you are after. I am not a hairdresser and so I don’t know what it takes to make hair look the way it is, so I didn’t realise I had booked the wrong thing. I think installing something like this will help others not leave the salon feeling disappointed. I think the salon is lovely and the girls are lovely and obviously very talented, I just left really upset and now having to invest more money into getting my hair coloured somewhere else. I just paid $230 for a cut and some gloss when I could have used that money to get real colour. Again I am a uni student so budget for things like this. So now I have to wait to get my hair done again.

I have been to C’Ba before however this appointment left me feeling under-whelmed. My stylist asked me what I services I wanted and after a 45 second conversation he was mixing colour. I hadn’t received a price breakdown and wasn’t filled with confidence about what my hair would look like at the end of the session. He was quite rough throughout the colouring process and didn’t engage in any conversation throughout the 3.5 hour session. I’m not mad about the results - they are quite subtle (I probably expected a little more change and lightness in the foils) however when I got to the register and was change $350 I was very quickly disappointed. For that amount of money I would expect a lot more out of my hair service. I still really like C’ba, it is a great environment and love the team but this experience has left me doubting whether I would go back again when it comes to value for money and quality of service.

This is a beautiful salon and I thought the staff were really nice until I looked deeper and found that they were charging me for things I did not ask for. I was really confused when I went to my appointment and the hairdresser asked me what I wanted done and then said i'll get you a quote and came back and the price had doubled from the one I was given when I booked online and paid the deposit. I should have questioned it but let it slide as it was my first time at the salon and my hair was really grown out so I figured I must have not booked in everything I needed. This is what they are relying on I guess when they add on a bunch of treatments for more money without telling you they are doing that or even asking if you want that done. I wasn't overly happy with the hair colour and i've been having scalp bleaches done for at least 15 years. I have never had my natural hair not lighten up enough on an initial appointment as it's a dirty blonde already but I was told that it was because of my hair being so grown out. Regardless, I didn't complain and booked in again thinking it would lighten up again the next visit. On my second appointment four weeks later, again I sat in the chair and was asked what I wanted. Again, the hairdresser said she would get me a quote and came back with a price that was more than double what I was quoted online. I was expecting to potentially pay a little bit extra but not that much and essentially the same price I paid when my hair was really grown out. I did question it this time and was told that it costs so much because i'm having my whole hair lightened from root to tip. I could see 4 items on the computer but couldn't read them as I was too far away but I suspected I was being overcharged so I decided to wait until I actually had some regrowth (the hairdresser informed me it would cost the same regardless of how much regrowth I have) and rebook for a later date and not pay another $350 on top of the $400 I paid 4 weeks ago. When I got home, I found that I could see my future booking in their online booking system and the hairdresser had added on two treatments and a blow wave that I did not ask for totalling over $200. I could also see that they added on these two treatments to my initial appointment. That is why my quote jumped so high and the hairdresser lied directly to my face about why it was so expensive instead of telling me she was adding on things I didn't ask for. Instead of taking off all of the extra services and having the ones that I asked for, she let me reschedule and walk out. So, I wasted my time and petrol driving there and back and wasn't able to get my hair done. The salon has lost my appointment and any future business from me for being dishonest. It's a real shame that this tactic is being used to increase services without the customers knowledge. In the current times, hair is an extra expense that alot of people are foregoing but this salon is happy to charge me $700+ in the space of 4 weeks and not bat an eyelid. I didn't even receive an apology when I rang to cancel my booking and explain why. The online booking prices are not accurate or they may be but the price increases when extras are added on which seems to be whatever the hairdresser decides on the day that they think you should have without telling you. You should not take money from people to book if the quote is not even close to accurate. I would not have went ahead with either booking knowing in advance that the price would double once I got in the chair.

I came in for a trim and treatment, ended up losing over 2 inches and hair that is all different lengths, going to have to get another chip to even it out. 140 bucks for something I feel even less confident about after walking into a salon for the first time in 6 month post baby!
