Xiang Hair first opened its doors in
1989 in a small suburban salon in Melbourne's west.
With only two staff members and one
big vision, founder Tom Donato set
about building a strong creative force
in Australian hairdressing.
Already established as one of Australia's leading salons, Xiang Hair now boasts four salons across Melbourne, over 30 staff members and many industry accolades.

I was very excited to get my hair done here. I did some research and reviews lead me to believe that I finally found THEE hair salon. After a thorough consultation about expectations of both me and the stylist, I was left with enough confidence to spend such a large amount of money. You will be treated very well at the salon and everyone is so nice. However, this was very underwhelming. I spent a lot of money and I feel so plain. Moreso, I SPECIFICALLY asked for highlights to be seen when my hair is pulled back. I could not have emphasised this enough. I didn't get that. After being dissatisfied when I went home, I called the salon and expressed my concern. I could see no streaks or highlights and it was a solid colour brown. They fit me in to "fix it" and was a very rushed job. After it was "fixed" they charged me for the brassy, zebra stripes they put in! I wish I could post more than one photo. I specifically asked for the highlights and when I went back in to get what I paid for originally, they charged me again? This isn't right. I got my roots touched up and now, you can't even see the highlights that I paid for twice. You will be treated very well here, as the staff are all kind, but the quality is lackluster and you still have to pay for it - twice.
