Quite expensive for what I received. The colour ends up nothing like I asked for every time. $640 for a colour with foils and a blow dry for a Medium hair length. The service and the ladies are very nice. However, I will not be back as the prices are through the roof and the result is different from what I was asking for.

Makayla is a good barber. The website said $45 but end up with $65 and been told that my haircut just not just side/back clipper. Not too sure if the lady at the front look at me as a lady and my haircut is for men. So I’d say this studio isn’t LGBT friendly at all. Won’t come back or recommend to anyone. And will do the review on google as well.

The overall experience was good however some areas for improvement are noted per my recent experience : 1. My back and shirt was wet from the hair wash. The colorist did not do anything however when mark cut my hair he noticed it and kindly dried my back. 2. The toner was not washed off my forehead and ears. This was again noticed by Mark and he kindly cleaned it up. He provided exceptional service. 3. When getting my hair colored I would prefer that one person attends to it. During the experience when the stylist was busy she asked someone else to attend to my hair. This was the first time I coloured my hair so I don’t know if this is common practice? 4. The chairs upstairs are not comfortable given that you have to sit there for hours. 5. It was quite hot upstairs and uncomfortable, no air flow.

This visit cut and colour both superb. Do not like the fact that $135 added on for olaplex treatment and toner without consulting me first. Turning an already expensive hair appointment into a ridiculously expensive appointment to the tune of over $550 for half head of foils and a tiny trim of hair and a further $108 on top for shampoo and conditioner.....$653 dollars all in 😳

The salon was a beautiful place, very nicely set out, and the staff were accommodating. However there was some things that didn't sit right with me. For starters, I was called 10-15 minutes prior to my appointment to ask if they could push it back half an hour and didn't give me an explanation why, I was already on my way there and had already parked and started paying for parking - so had to pay longer by the time I was done. When I got to the salon, I felt like I was unimportant because I was a new client, the lady who greeted me just said Hello whats your name for booking - nothing else. I then had a young lady take me down the back to a table to sit and wait for the stylist. Discussion with stylist was fine, she was a little hard to understand due to an accent, but I was then seated up stairs and not told what was happening and had to wait half an hour before someone came back to me and then I was taken somewhere else and somebody else started on my hair that I had no idea who it was and they also didn't introduce themselves, so I just felt like I was unorganised and unimportant compared to the other clients that were there as they seemed to be returning clients due to conversations I overheard. My hair turned out great and as we discussed but not as short as I requested, I felt the cut price at $150 was overpriced as it only took 15 minutes and a blowdry, no straighten. There was also a couple of areas in my hair that is unevenly cut but not too bad. I travelled 10 hours to Perth for various appointments not just a haircut/colour and found Head Studio online after a Google search of the best hair salon in Perth city, so I just didn't appreciate the level of service I received. However saying all this, the salon was beautiful and the lady that served me at the end of my appointment was lovely.

I picked head studio because it’s regarded as one of the best salons in Perth and I knew that my hair needed a very good stylist to fix my home bleach job on it. I had a consultation beforehand and the stylist seemed confident to be able to do what I want. I came n with a very slight band at the top and my very dark natural roots. I left my appointment happy but realised once home that my roots were yellow, I rung the studio and they were very understanding and offered to fix it straight away. Although my roots are now kind of fixed my overall head is an assortment of colours with an awful orange/yellow band running round most of it that definitely wasn’t there when I went for my initial consultation. Even after I had gone back for the second bleaching the stylist pointed out the yellow colours and said well that’s all we can do. I understand that you have to be careful with bleach and I know that my home job can make it more difficult, however had I known I was going to leave with bands worse than what I originally came in with i would never have said yes to the service. This cost nearly 700 dollars, which I was happy to pay because I thought they would be able to achieve what I wanted and fix the few minor issues with my home bleach, instead I’ve been left with a worse band in my hair than I had to begin with along with all different tones from the toner sticking to different parts of my hair. Really unhappy overall, if I wanted an orange band in my hair I would have continued with my home bleach job.
