I love this salon for massages and pedicures, so I though I’d give them a go for a leg and bikini wax. Bad move. Several hours afterwards my bikini area started to feel a little tender. Quick check of the area to discover my skin bright red and hot to touch, just like sun burn. Obviously the wax was far too hot for such a delicate area. I also discovered several area of wax on my legs that was so hard I had to scrape it with my nail to remove it. I will definitely be back for my pedicures and massages but not for waxing.

This was my first visit to Cinnamon Skin Studio and I was looking forward to my visit. Having had a few manicures done at other busier nail salons, I was keen to try out a less crowded environment. I also chose to visit because I knew that Cinnamon uses original brand products that I am familiar with. My technician was very friendly and welcoming and made me feel quite at home. She was very efficient with the service and gave me advice in caring for my manicure. Unfortunately the quality of the product fell below my expectations. I noticed that in one of the nails, there was a gap between the nail colour and edge of my nail which I pointed out as I was about to leave. This was corrected to my satisfaction before leaving. I did however pick up a similar issue on two other nails and another nail where the nail color went over the edge of my skin. I’m anxious that this is likely to start to lift before I am due for a refill. The edges of my nails also look “bare” and I wonder how that will affect the longevity of the manicure. The nail color I chose is in the neutral side so the flaws are not obvious unless one looks more closely. I will therefore maintain the manicure as best as I can for as long as possible before going for a refill. All in all I enjoyed my time at the studio as it is a clean and cosy environment and my technician was very kind and conversational. I was however disappointed by the quality of my manicure.
